Engagement & Communications Specialist

Job Summary

The Employee Experience & Communications Specialist is responsible for designing,

implementing, and continuously improving programs that enhance employee engagement,

strengthen organizational culture, improve internal communications, and support a positive

employee experience. This role partners closely with business leaders, HR teams, and external

vendors to deliver impactful initiatives, analyze employee feedback and engagement data,

develop actionable recommendations, and drive continuous improvement across employee

experience programs.

The position operates with a high degree of independence and serves as a key partner in

identifying engagement opportunities, improving communication effectiveness, and supporting a

highly engaged workforce within a hybrid and predominantly remote work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Lead Employee Experience & Engagement Programs

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve employee engagement, recognition,

wellness, culture, volunteerism, employee spotlight, and employee listening initiatives that

support organizational objectives and enhance employee experience. Analyze engagement

survey results, employee feedback, and participation trends to develop action plans and

drive measurable improvements

Drive Internal Communications

• Develop and execute internal communication strategies, campaigns, and messaging that

inform, engage, and connect employees while supporting business priorities and leadership

communications. Manage communication calendars, create employee-facing content, and

evaluate communication effectiveness to improve employee reach and engagement.

Manage Employee Experience Initiatives & Events

• Plan and oversee employee-focused programs, events, and initiatives, ensuring effective

project management, resource allocation, budget oversight, vendor coordination, and

successful execution. Conduct post-event evaluations and implement improvements based

on feedback and outcomes.

Build Strategic Partnerships

• Collaborate with leaders, HR partners, and external vendors to identify opportunities,

address challenges, and deliver solutions that strengthen employee engagement,

communication effectiveness, and organizational culture. Serve as a trusted partner by

providing recommendations, managing stakeholder expectations, and supporting business

objectives.

Leverage Data & Continuous Improvement

• Analyze employee feedback, engagement metrics, communication effectiveness,

participation data, and organizational trends to evaluate program success, provide

actionable insights, and drive continuous improvement. Develop reports, presentations, and

recommendations to support leadership decision-making and employee experience

outcomes.

Additional Responsibilities

• Manage annual employee engagement and communications calendars.

• Develop executive, leadership, and employee communications.

• Monitor and manage vendor relationships, budgets, and program deliverables.

• Support employee engagement survey administration, action planning, and follow-up activities.

• Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for leadership.

• Support special projects and initiatives as assigned.

• Onsite support at the local MX office 3-4 days per week.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration,

Organizational Development, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of

education and experience.

• 4–6 years of experience in employee engagement, employee experience, internal

communications, organizational development, event management, or related functions.

• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and managing employee

engagement, recognition, wellness, communication, or culture-building programs.

• Experience analyzing employee feedback, survey results, and engagement metrics to

develop recommendations and drive improvements.

• Strong project and program management skills, including the ability to manage multiple

engagement and communication initiatives, stakeholders, timelines, and priorities

simultaneously.

• Experience collaborating with leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to influence

outcomes and drive organizational initiatives.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop

communications, facilitate discussions, and present recommendations to leadership.

• Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting employee engagement and communications programs within

hybrid or remote workforce environments.

• Experience using employee engagement and survey platforms such as Qualtrics.

• Experience managing vendor relationships, budgets, and external service providers.

• Professional certification in Human Resources, Communications, Project Management,

or a related discipline.
