Planner Buyer (Monterrey)

Responsibilities

• Develop supplier production plans and priorities in line with production line requirements and monitor inventory levels.
• Expedite materials to prevent shortages and review material parameters.
• Communicate material status with team members and customers.
• Create, release, pull in, push out, and follow up on purchase orders.
• Analyze causes for missed on‑time deliveries and implement improvement actions.
• Purchase assigned materials/commodities from specified suppliers and manage supplier disputes.
• Resolve complex material shortages and handle vendor lead‑time, transit time, and vendor schedule.
• Resolve invoicing and receiving discrepancies.
• Maintain minimal inventories of excess and obsolete materials according to plan.
• Comply with purchasing and planning procedures.
• Negotiate and place purchase orders and resolve quality issues with suppliers.
• Resolve issues related to requisition accuracy, completeness, on‑time delivery, or supplier payment.
• Manage data in the MRP system, including price, lead time, lot sizes, and strategy group.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of related experience in purchasing.
• Strong analytical and project‑management skills.
• Team‑work oriented with well‑rounded knowledge of supply chain, materials, and logistics.
• Proficiency in English and SAP.
• Reporting to the PCA Team Lead.
