Content Writer (U.S. Experience) - Hybrid Guadalajara MX

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and highly skilled Content Writer to develop clear, engaging, and meaningful content for the senior living industry.

The ideal candidate has professional experience writing in English for U.S.-based clients and audiences and understands how to communicate with empathy, accuracy, and sensitivity. This role will create content designed for older adults, families, caregivers, senior living professionals, and other industry stakeholders.

The Content Writer will collaborate with marketing, design, sales, and client-facing teams to produce content that strengthens brand awareness, educates audiences, supports lead generation, and communicates the value of senior living services and communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and proofread high-quality content in English for U.S. audiences.
• Develop content for websites, landing pages, blogs, articles, email campaigns, newsletters, social media, brochures, presentations, case studies, and other marketing materials.
• Create informative and engaging content related to senior living, aging, wellness, caregiving, community life, healthcare services, and family decision-making.
• Communicate sensitive or complex topics with empathy, clarity, and professionalism.
• Adapt messaging for different audiences, including older adults, family members, caregivers, community leaders, and senior living professionals.
• Conduct research on senior living trends, services, target audiences, competitors, and relevant industry topics.
• Collaborate with U.S.-based clients and internal stakeholders to understand content needs, objectives, brand voice, and audience expectations.
• Participate in client meetings, content reviews, and project discussions conducted in English.
• Interview internal subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather information for articles, case studies, and other content.
• Translate complex industry information into clear, accessible, and engaging language.
• Incorporate SEO best practices, keywords, headings, internal links, and calls to action into digital content.
• Review existing materials and recommend improvements related to tone, clarity, consistency, grammar, and audience engagement.
• Maintain accuracy and ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and approved industry terminology.
• Manage multiple content assignments while meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality standards.
• Coordinate with designers, marketing specialists, and other team members to ensure written and visual content are aligned.
• Revise content based on feedback from clients, managers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders.
• Stay informed about senior living trends, content marketing strategies, and digital communication best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, Advertising, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in content writing, copywriting, communications, or a related role.
• Advanced written and spoken English, preferably C1 level or higher.
• Previous experience working with U.S.-based clients, companies, or stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of American English grammar, spelling, tone, and business communication standards.
• Demonstrated experience creating content for websites, blogs, email campaigns, social media, or other digital platforms.
• Strong research, editing, proofreading, and fact-checking skills.
• Ability to communicate sensitive topics in an empathetic, respectful, and audience-appropriate manner.
• Ability to quickly understand new topics, services, and industry terminology.
• Strong communication skills and confidence participating in meetings with English-speaking clients.
• Experience managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Ability to receive feedback professionally and incorporate revisions efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• A professional writing portfolio or relevant writing samples are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience creating content for senior living, healthcare, wellness, hospitality, real estate, or related industries.
• Experience writing content for older adults, families, caregivers, or healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge of SEO writing and content optimization.
• Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress or HubSpot.
• Experience using project management and collaboration platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, Trello, Slack, or Microsoft Teams.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted writing and research tools, with the ability to review, fact-check, and improve AI-generated content.
• Experience writing B2B and B2C content.
• Basic understanding of digital marketing strategies and content performance metrics.
