Product Engineer (Electric/Electronics) (Santa Catarina)

About the role

This position oversees research on the planning, design, test, and implementation follow‑up of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems. It also involves investigating pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, communality, replaceability, strength‑weight efficiency, and cost.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize project administration best practices to implement changes on cost and in a timely manner.
• Research, plan, develop and implement key programs and cost‑optimization projects.
• Know product certification ETL/UL and maintain accuracy of agency files.
• Lead and execute Level 3‑4 programs under minimum supervision/direction, sustaining the team to support any cost‑optimization alterations, updates, and improvement activities with a particular focus on: Project/Engineering Management, Test and certification, Program Management, and General Design.

Requirements

• BSc in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• 5‑7 years of experience in a relevant position.
• Knowledge in product certification ETL/UL and maintaining accuracy of agency files.
• Problem‑resolution experience.
• Project experience (improvement, cost reduction, change introductions).
• Advanced English (required).

Preferred Additional Knowledge

• Knowledge in HVAC systems.
• Knowledge in Thermodynamics.
