Job Summary:

The CNC Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the CNC machining operations, ensuring production efficiency, equipment reliability, and quality control. This role requires expertise in CNC programming, tooling, robotics, and process optimization to drive continuous improvement and cost‑effective manufacturing solutions. The position specializes in machining, tooling engineering, and requires strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and mechanical drawings. Experience in fixtures, shock systems, CNC machine setup, and vector force calculations is essential.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metal Mechanics or similar.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in CNC machining operations, including leadership roles.
• Strong background in process engineering, robotics integration, and automated manufacturing systems.
• Experience in fixtures and shock systems, CNC machine setup, and vector force calculations.
• English: Professional Level.

Knowledge:

• CNC programming, tooling, and machining strategies.
• Understanding of GD&T, metrology, and quality assurance standards.
• Robotic systems and their integration with CNC machining.
• Expertise in troubleshooting CNC machines, optimizing machining processes, and implementing automation solutions.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems, mechanical principles, and interpretation of mechanical drawings.
• Leadership: Ability to manage and develop teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Problem‑Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and improve operational efficiency.
• Project Management: Experience in overseeing capital projects, equipment upgrades, and new process implementations.
• Quality Focus: Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production standards, including ISO 9000 and lean manufacturing principles.
• Technical Communication: Ability to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams and present technical information clearly.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily CNC machining operations, ensuring optimal performance of machines, robots, and shock systems for part handling.
• Develop and implement machining processes that maximize quality, minimize waste, and meet production schedules.
• Oversee maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient use of resources.
• Provide technical leadership in CNC programming, tooling selection, and process enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining strategies and implement best practices.
• Manage and develop CNC operators and technicians, providing training and skill enhancement programs.
• Analyze production data and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce scrap rates.
• Participate in equipment selection, vendor coordination, and capital investment planning for CNC‑related projects.
• Ensure proper documentation of production processes, tooling specifications, and engineering changes.
• Support new product introductions and prototype development, ensuring manufacturability within CNC capabilities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in machining operations, leveraging automation and digital technologies.
