Pricing Specialist

Reporting to the Pricing Manager, the Pricing Specialist is responsible for supporting pricing through ESAB system tools that are unique to each customer channel. The role includes day to day support of transactional pricing activities to support pricing, customer care, sales, product management, AR, and finance and includes daily interaction with internal and external customers to ensure positive customer experience. This role applies a direct focus on integrity, accuracy, and quality of all data. This role is part of the North Americas Pricing team and reports into the Pricing Leader of North America. The successful specialist will have an analytical mindset and be able to effectively multitask in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Primary Duties

• Maintain and support pricing execution of the organization’s goods and services for the North America business across multiple B2B distributor channels & end user segments.
• Research price discrepancies, solve and track identified problems whether systematic or user error, and lead process improvements to avoid reoccurrence.
• Review and manage transactional pricing hold reports, credit reports, MSD email/case response time to deliver on the team’s KPI and provide resolution and update on orders for Order to Cash Process.
• Support day to day pricing activities with priority and urgency delivering on to sales and customers while meeting the team KPIs.
• Support the functionality of pricing systems, including gathering, storing, and analyzing data and transactional data from multiple platforms and sources.
• Use databases, spreadsheets, and online applications to support mass price changes, master data integrity, margin management, price approvals, and overall strategy.
• Support the implementation of frequent time sensitive price increases and other price communication. Adhere to strict timelines and work cross-functionally to ensure successful and accurate communication of large and small pricing actions / contract management.
• Participate in various projects as needed.
• Other duties as assigned to support business objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2-5 years in Pricing, Finance, Purchasing or business-related field.
• Self-starter, proactive individual that is comfortable working both independently and in collaborative teams. Intellectual curiosity is a must with strong focused towards problem solving and resolution.
• Strong communication skills, written, verbal, decision-making abilities, and business acumen with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization. Focused on delivering to the customer.
• Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify or anticipate issues and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and expedite competing tasks under time constraints. Strong time management skills.
• Ability to maintain calm under pressure and thrive in fast-paced environment.
• Capable of researching, understanding, and communicating issues with data, reporting, and system outputs.
• Demonstrated experienced in working with large disparate data sets and the tools used to mine and analyze data.
• Effectively learn and understand ESAB’s systems and data flows.
• Advanced level skills in Excel (formulas and functions above simple calculations)
• SOX/Audit environment experience.
• SAP Pricing/SD module experience.
• Relevant experience interacting with and assessing diverse data sources.
• Demonstrated experience working with sales teams, customers, cross functional teams on daily basis and delivering results.
• Transactionally focused environment.
• B2B Industrial manufacturing industry experience.
