Overview
Under the direct supervision of the Sales Manager, this role is responsible for specifying Kohler products within the assigned territory and accounts. Promote and service Kohler Co. through accounts such as builders, developers, contractors, other specifiers, and end users in accordance with the company’s established objectives, policies, and procedures. Prepare product planning forecasts and contribute to the annual sales forecast. When required, support new distribution development as a priority within project specifications.

- Develop and begin working from a plan to achieve contribution levels related to project leadership, process knowledge, or functional expertise.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain regular contact with distributors in the assigned territory and accounts to present and promote Kohler Co. product sales in alignment with company objectives and policies.
- Provide guidance to distributor sales staff; deliver training and assistance to resolve specific questions or issues related to sales efforts or technical matters.
- Establish and maintain regular contact with contractors, developers, builders, architects, plumbers, and engineers to inform them of the advantages of using Kohler Co. products and motivate them to specify Kohler plumbing products for their clients.
- Analyze and evaluate the assigned territory/account in terms of sales trends and potential, competition, economic/business conditions, and performance; recommend changes to sales programs and target customers to improve effectiveness in achieving sales volume quotas.
- Prepare the annual sales forecast for the assigned territory/accounts by projecting next year’s sales volume based on knowledge of trends and sales potential, and building the forecast based on the current project pipeline. Support product planning to ensure improved project delivery performance. Assess competitive landscape and economic/business conditions. Review and analyze sales quotas with the Regional Sales Manager.
- Attend and participate in company sales meetings, as well as business/industry meetings, trade shows, and conventions to increase knowledge of Kohler Co. products, enhance sales techniques, and foster strong working relationships with accounts and end users.
- Prepare reports, proposals, training materials, and presentations related to daily activities, expenses, claims, etc. Propose improvements to customer service both in pre‑sales and post‑sales stages.
Relationships and Contacts
- Reports to the Projects Sales Manager – Mexico.
- Maintains moderate contact with administrative staff regarding sales policies and practices, and inquiries related to sales order processing.
- Has continuous contact with accounts to promote Kohler Co. products and provide support with sales programs.
- Maintains frequent contact with builders, contractors, architects, and other specifiers and users to provide accurate information about Kohler Co.
Education & Experience
- 3 years min. as Key Account Manager or related positions.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- English Proficiency (Both Written and Spoken)
Travel Requirements
- Availability to travel in Mexico & USA.
- Travel and attendance at trade shows, manufacturing plants, client visits, and project sites (40%)
