What will you do?

Siemens is growing, and we are excited to welcome new experienced mechanical engineers to the medium voltage power distribution team! We pride ourselves on creating a diverse and engaging environment where experienced engineers can sharpen their skills and continue to grow.

• Review of customer specifications and requirements while working with your engineering project team to ensure we deliver a complete and optimal product.
• Take overall mechanical ownership of the project bill of materials including developing new assemblies, validating functionality, and releasing the part/assemblies to production.
• Provide direction as mechanical technical lead to a team of designers who will take your concepts and turn them into new or updated 3D models.
• Work directly with the factory manufacturing team addressing any challenges as they produce your designs.
• Help improve our products by working collaboratively to identify design enhancements.
• Help improve our processes and tools by providing feedback to team leaders and excellent business teams.
• Siemens products possibly supported by this role: GM‑SG medium voltage switchgear, SIMOVAC medium voltage Motor Controllers, SDV outdoor circuit breaker.

What will you need to succeed?

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• 5 years of experience in a technical engineering role with at least 2 year working within a complex made to order manufacturing environment (Electrical Equipment preferably).
• Experience working with 3D models.
• Demonstratable proficiency with Autocad.
• Demonstratable proficiency working with SAP or similar MRP/ERP systems.
• Demonstratable proficiency working with complex engineering BoMs “Bill of Materials”.
• No travel required, optional remote work part time after training on the product/process.
• Advanced English.
