Supervisor De Compras (Heroica Nogales)

Eaton’s IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Supervisor de Compras.

What you’ll do

BASIC FUNCTION : Responsible for managing supply base for production items by coordinating, executing, and verifying purchasing process. Emphasis is on selection and management of suppliers so as to provide Eaton with the highest levels of quality at the lowest landed cost while insuring adequate capacity, on‑time delivery, and commitment to continuous improvement, in alignment with Eaton’s Ethics and Values.

Supports Commodity Buyer/Manager with issuance of P.O.s for production items, and resolution of various non‑commercial related issues arising with production suppliers.

Support transfer of work strategy and site growth.

ESSENTIALS FUNCTIONS

• Establish and maintain communications to satisfy the needs of the plant while facilitating a consistent and coordinated communication with suppliers.
• Prepares purchase order to suppliers in system based on the information provided by the proper commodity buyer for production (raw) items. The Purchase Orders are placed based on Eaton T&C.
• End user of SCM IT systems (SAP) for supplier adds and delete, P.O process, and general information.
• Responsible for maintaining and updating quality database and ERP system for new product introduction and changes as the take place. Keep SAP updated with any change. Support ERP health metrics running & analysing reports such as inventory levels, exception messages, supplier on time delivery, among others defined.
• Responsible for the control of documents related to Purchasing.
• Attend and coordinate within the department the development and preparation for internal or external audits of compliance.
• Develop and maintain ethical supplier relationships which foster a continuous improvement environment and promote cooperation with Eaton.
• Focus on Purchasing Team knowledge and skills development, as well as the team exposure within the company.
• Promote and pursuit within Purchasing team the support and service to internal customers.
• Participate on development of new Eaton standardised purchasing and sourcing solutions.
• Support SQE’s with resolution of Eaton claims with suppliers regarding cost of poor quality (Debit memos).
• Resolve supplier payment issues with finance department and support financial team with SC reports.
• Support new program launches as required & New Quotation for New suppliers and pc.
• Actively collaborate and facilitate communication between purchasing team and other departments.
• Develop logistics solutions for the suppliers (VMI, blanket order).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or similar.
• 5-8 years of experience in Supply Chain.

• Previous supervisory experience, desirable 3 years.
• Knowledge about Supply Chain process and key metrics.

  • Separate dangerous residues from the normal trash.
  • Place the dangerous residues (Gloves, cloths, etc.) in the assigned containers.
  • Maintain area clean and free of contaminants.
  • Not waste of water or electricity.
  • Identify and give adequate disposition to all chemical products, which can contaminate the environment.
  • Acting immediately in chemists’ discharge case.
  • Ensure the rights containers for disposition of dangerous residues (identifying containers and containers to prevent discharge).
  • Ensure the right storage of dangerous residues.
