Manager – NoLA Payroll

Johnson Controls, a integral leader in thermal management and building systems, is seeking a Manager, NoLA Payroll to lead payroll operations across Mexico, Costa Rica, and Peru.

Key Responsibilities

• Payroll Operations Delivery: Oversee end-to-end payroll processing using Workday, PeopleNet, UKG and Softland.
• Manage payroll cycles, validations, reconciliations, and approvals.
• Ensure accurate processing of earnings, deductions, and statutory requirements.
• Compliance & Governance: Maintain knowledge of payroll regulations in Mexico, Costa Rica and Peru. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls. Partner with Legal, HR, and Finance to mitigate risks.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage payroll vendors and ensure SLA adherence. Partner with HR and Finance leaders across the region.
• Leadership & Team Development: Lead and develop a regional payroll team. Provide guidance on payroll processes and compliance.
• Continuous Improvement & Transformation: Drive process improvements and standardization. Optimize Workday, PeopleNet, and Softland usage.
• Reporting & Financial Partnership: Deliver KPIs and payroll insights. Support finance with accruals and reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, HR or related field.
• 7+ years payroll experience, including LATAM.
• 3+ years leadership experience.
• Experience with Workday, PeopleNet, UKG, and/or Softland.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Experience in multinational companies (preferred).
