Senior Buyer: Strategic Sourcing & Supply Reliability

Overview

As a Senior Buyer at MKS, you will partner with Procurement, Engineering, Planning, Quality, and Commodity teams to purchase material at the best cost, on time, and with the best quality. You will report to the Procurement Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and monitor material movement through the production cycle.
• Evaluate vendor reliability and develop solutions in case of material shortages.
• Monitor cost and consolidate contracts where required to create cost-effective purchasing models.
• Develop new supply sources to keep operations stocked and able to generate desired output.
• Actively maintain inventory and collaborate with operations to ensure appropriate stock.
• Follow and achieve KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Good writing and oral communication skills.
• CPIM and/or APICS certification preferred.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly.
• Ability to exchange accurate information.
• Operates in a professional office environment.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
