Principal Implementation Consultant (San Antonio Tecómitl)

The Principal Implementation Consultant is responsible for implementing the company's software products with its customers. Using their extensive knowledge of the BlackLine application, they advise customers on best practices and work through complex requirements to configure BlackLine to perform as needed. The role also provides subject‑matter leadership and expertise within the department.

Responsibilities

• Drive and manage all project phases and milestones to completion within budget, scope, schedule, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage a diverse portfolio and deliver large‑scale implementation projects of multiple, concurrent, complex or enterprise‑level projects with little supervision.
• Mentor and advise less experienced ICs/Senior ICs on BlackLine implementation processes and procedures.
• Provide advisement on industry best practices for use in the configuration of the BlackLine suite of products.
• Create and maintain documentation throughout the implementation, including project budget management, data requirements, project timelines, issue trackers, and risk mitigation plans.
• Utilize business acumen, accounting/finance industry knowledge, and product knowledge to serve as a trusted advisor and become an application expert to address client use cases and business challenges.
• Collaborate with all key stakeholders regarding project progress and next steps in real time.
• Provide training and guidance to customers throughout the project.
• Address complex client requirements in multiple modules, working with other teams at BlackLine to devise and implement related solutions.
• Collaborate and contribute to team goals and successes, including development of new processes, partnering across the organization to assist with product development, identifying implementation process improvements, and delivering training across the teams and subject‑matter expertise.
• Elicit, document, interpret, and translate client business requirements for application configuration and project delivery.
• Assess, troubleshoot, and test BlackLine products during the implementation cycle.
• Manage and set expectations with stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle, as well as the pre‑sales process.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in Consulting Services, Client Services, and/or Professional Services.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Previous project management experience in a revenue‑driven environment (e.g., time‑and‑materials billing).
• Demonstrated successful completion of multiple, complex enterprise‑level client implementation projects.
• Proven ability to balance multiple projects at any given time and stay on top of all details.
• Experience communicating and presenting to a diverse audience across groups and organizational levels.
• Experience in the SaaS industry and/or software, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and support.
• Experience with large‑scale ERP systems, including SAP and Oracle.
• Advanced knowledge/experience in accounting, audits, financial services, software technology, SaaS industry, and/or related areas.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Effective negotiation/conflict resolution skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Ability to deliver world‑class service and high‑impact results while navigating challenging situations.
• Ability to manage self and others under pressure and time‑sensitive deadlines.
• Ability to facilitate cross‑team collaboration with teams in person and virtually.

We’re Even More Excited If You Have

• Four or more years of experience in the audit/accounting industry.
• Four years of experience with BlackLine Products.
• PMP certification.
• Accounting degree and/or experience preferred.

Salary Range

Pay is based on several factors, including prior relevant experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine offers short‑term and long‑term incentive programs, as well as a robust benefit and wellness package.
