Business Unit PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and customer-focused professional to lead the operational and financial execution of assigned business programs. This role serves as the primary interface between customers and internal teams, ensuring successful execution of demand planning, material availability, delivery performance, and business financial objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Supply Chain Management, Materials Planning, Demand Forecasting, Customer Operations, and Financial Analysis within a manufacturing environment.

This position is significantly more focused on Supply Chain, Materials Management, Forecasting, and Business Financials than on Product Design or Engineering Development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer demand forecasts and align supply chain strategies to support business requirements.
• Lead material planning and inventory management activities to ensure continuity of supply while optimizing inventory levels.
• Serve as the primary customer contact for operational performance, delivery commitments, forecast alignment, and supply chain-related issues.
• Monitor and drive key performance indicators (KPIs), including:
• On-Time Delivery (OTD)
• Material Availability
• Forecast Accuracy
• Inventory Performance
• Customer Commitments
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, Operations, Manufacturing, and Finance.
• Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans to minimize customer impact.
• Support business reviews and operational performance meetings with customers.
• Analyze and manage business financial performance, including:
• Material Margin
• Cost Management
• Inventory Exposure
• Profitability
• Return on Investment (ROI)
• Support pricing reviews, cost reduction initiatives, and financial planning activities.
• Drive accountability across internal stakeholders to ensure operational and financial targets are achieved.
• Potentially lead and develop a small team (approximately one direct report).

Required Qualifications

Must Have

• Experience in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Demand Planning, Production Planning, Customer Focus Teams (CFT), or Business Operations.
• Strong experience managing customer forecasts and demand requirements.
• Background in manufacturing operations and supply chain environments.
• Experience working directly with customers and participating in business reviews.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, material planning, and supply continuity strategies.
• Financial acumen with experience analyzing margins, costs, and business performance metrics.
• Experience with SAP and/or other ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Preferred

• Experience in electronics manufacturing or high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of Materials Margin management and business financial analysis.
• Experience leading small teams.
• Experience supporting multiple product lines or business units.
