Search and Social Media Specialist, IKEA México

Job Description

• Support the ideation, production & implementation of SG social media deliverables, including: planning, creation (stills/images, videos, animation, html programming, etc.) and execution of content; co-ordination of social engagement activities and events including aligning of key messages, sourcing of images, influencer engagement, and any other objectives between social deliverables and other teams’ channels; “social media listening” on owned channels; together with CCC team.

• Keep a pulse on latest trends and be quick to apply it as a topical idea for IKEA. • Liaise with SO Sales, e-Commerce department, SO IKEA Food team, SO Corporate Comm, to review accuracy of all content and product list for search and social platforms.

• Liaise with Web team to check that certain IRW pages are live/ready for communication on search and social.

• Manage and liaise with respective agencies / vendors for content development and production, where needed.

• Manage and liaise with media agencies for links (tracking link generation), publishing related matters, search optimisation, and relevant finance/admin matters.

• Deliver campaign design adaptation for respective social channels (resizing etc). • Contribute and support the development of SEM and SEO optimisation while ensuring that the communication is in line with overall plans and the IKEA Concept.

• Work closely with Marketing, SO sales and e-Commerce to secure or review product list to push out on SEM.

• Update theme booklet Marketing file continuously when plans and visuals are confirmed and this includes any involvement with agencies, updating post mortem decks, updating teams on what worked and what didn’t, etc.

• Support in PO creation, share the approved POs with agencies for billing purposes, updating of budgeting related matters and any other needed tasks for the role/team.

• Support in any other ad-hoc matters

Qualifications

• Highly self-motivated with a passion for social media communication and SEM/SEO to drive results with consistent messaging.
• Continually looking for ways to engage the audience through innovative social media content and good copy writing to drive visits through search.
• Passionate about online media and home furnishing with strong curiosity about consumers, markets and trends.
• Highly collaborative with a strong sense of ‘togetherness’ to achieve the goal.
• Inspirational in how you communicate and engage others in your plans.
• Knowledge of photoshop / In-design / and other job-related software to facilitate simple video or animated content production.
• Knowledge of social media platforms guidelines and understanding of media.
• Knowledge of search engine marketing and optimisation, understanding of technicalities, and insights to online traffic generation.
• Knowledge of trends, proven solutions, translating global into local market relevant/regional solutions that influence home furnishing and retailing.
• Knowledge of customers' living situations as well as their needs and frustrations in their everyday life at home in order to translate that into strong messaging.
• Knowledge of IKEA concept, brand objectives, values and vision, tone of voice.
• Budgetary experience – evaluate, monitor, follow-up and adjust as needed.
• Strong multi-tasking skills to work in a fast-moving environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Possess a creative mindset and ability to challenge common ways of thinking.
• Flair for copy writing with IKEA’s twinkle in the eye messages with good eye for creatives, image selection and layouts.
• Driven by generating efficiencies, customer insights, trends and media effectiveness.
• Possess analytical skills to follow up and measure performance of output and capture learnings to improve and moving forward.
• Ability to understand the complexity of IKEA business and the role of commerciality as an integrated part of the business.
• Ability to communicate and share creative ideas, concepts and solutions and combine commercial, aesthetics and practical skills.
