Financial Analyst

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing and managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and performing financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities include recording daily financial transactions, supervising accounts receivable and accounts payable, reconciling balance sheet accounts, controlling and safeguarding the company's fixed assets, overseeing payroll processes, and supporting both internal and external audits.

Key Responsibilities, Requirements, and Competencies

• Record daily financial transactions, manage and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable, and ensure the accuracy of accounting records.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations (excluding inventory) to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
• Prepare and present monthly financial statements, management reports, and supporting accounting schedules to assist the Controller in strategic decision-making.
• Ensure that appropriate internal controls are established and followed to promote ethical business conduct and organizational integrity.
• Oversee payroll processing to ensure the accuracy of accounting records.
• Support and respond to internal and external audits, as well as requests from government authorities.
• Manage and maintain fixed asset inventory and controls.
• Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for cost reduction, revenue improvement, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable financial and accounting regulations relevant to the industry.
• Monitor and control conversion costs.

Additional Responsibilities

• Provide training and share knowledge and skills with employees to support their professional development.
• Implement and oversee financial policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and risk management.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of team members, particularly within project teams.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on the evolving needs of the business.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Field of Study: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent work experience may be considered for certain positions.

Required Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of experience in Finance.
• Less than 1 year of experience in the automotive industry preferred.
• Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing facilities that may require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 .
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with financial reporting systems (ex., HFM or similar).
• Experience with ERP systems (ex., QAD or equivalent).
