Position Overview

The Manager II, Manufacturing Engineering position plays a key role in driving organizational change and process improvement to achieve business objectives. The Power Efficiency Solutions (PES) segment is seeking a business and manufacturing professional to drive the implementation of new technologies and best practices across our integral manufacturing sites. This position is critical to facilitate collaboration with internal partners and to create capability to effectively support and grow the business. Reporting to the Global Director - Manufacturing Engineering, the role focuses on deployment of new technologies, sharing best practices for continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, and launch of new products at our global manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage engineering initiatives based on policy deployment improvement priorities.
• Guide technology initiatives as a manufacturing process subject matter expert for core processes such as stamping, casting, machining, winding, welding, assembly, and automation.
• Develop strategy for industrializing new technologies across manufacturing sites.
• Approve capex projects and assist strategically in the execution of specific projects.
• Guide manufacturing sites and application engineering teams when launching new products.
• Ensure progress against projects, schedules, and budgets are maintained to accomplish goals.
• Provide technical oversight and coordination of project engineering work.
• Perform administrative oversight in approving proposals, expenditures, and enforcing policies.
• Work closely with operations, sourcing, and technology teams on technical issues, make‑vs‑buy decisions, and design for manufacturability.
• Interface with sales, application engineering, and manufacturing regarding customer technical requirements and specifications.
• Build strong personal relationships with internal and external customers and provide voice of customer to influence engineering strategy and priorities.
• Provide leadership within the general manufacturing engineering department.
• Perform design calculations and prepare material specifications.
• Create sketches, schematics, and CAD drawings to confirm customer requirements.
• Use a variety of engineering skills to assist in problem resolution, including statistical methods and computer hardware/software packages.

Process Improvement Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of internal processes and procedures, identify and implement opportunities to streamline engineering workflow and increase capacity.
• Work with manufacturing departments to identify productivity and efficiency improvements using Regal Rexnord Business System continuous improvement tools.
• Investigate variables that may present process problems and find solutions.
• Make recommendations for improved equipment or process design.
• Research and develop new enhancements to meet specific customer application needs.
• Develop and execute a methodology for discovering and analyzing new technology development relevant to manufacturing site processes.
• Provide technical information on manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages affecting long‑range plant performance.
• Participate in overall plant decision making, policy setting, budget control, and strategy development.
• Share accountability for business unit performance relative to annual and mid‑term objectives with other management members.
• Build relationships with other internal functions to facilitate timely issue resolution.
• Comply with ISO **** standard requirements.
• Extend activities to other cross‑functional initiatives as required by the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or related technical field.
• 8–10 years of results‑oriented manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience providing direct technical leadership to a multicultural engineering team.

Travel

Estimated travel: 25% within the United States and Mexico, 5% international.

Language

Spanish and English fluency preferred.
