Job Overview

The role is for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join the leadership of EY Digital & Emerging Technologies team, focusing on delivering cloud solutions for financial services clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform aligned with business requirements.
• Migrate workloads from on-premises environments or other public clouds to Google Cloud Platform, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
• Develop automation scripts and tools using Terraform or other infrastructure‑as‑code tools to streamline deployment, configuration, and management of cloud resources.
• Implement robust backup solutions to safeguard critical data and ensure data integrity in the event of data loss or corruption, utilizing GCP‑native backup services or third‑party backup solutions where applicable.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions on GCP.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices in GCP infrastructure management.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and GCP services, continuously evaluating and implementing new solutions to optimize our cloud environment.
• Collaborate with client‑facing teams and management to develop estimates, points of view (POVs), position papers, and contribute to pursuits, proposals, and statement of work (SOW).
• Participate in organization‑wide people initiatives.
• Excellent skill in written and oral communication; writing, publishing, and conference‑level presentation skills a plus.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Proficient in implementing GCP landing zones to meet specific project requirements and organizational standards.
• Strong experience establishing governance policies, security controls, and compliance measures within landing zones to ensure secure and efficient cloud operations.
• Strong experience working with Terraform or other IaC tools on cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, and Azure).
• Experience developing infrastructure automation solutions using tools such as Terraform, Deployment Manager, Jenkins, or CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment of GCP resources.
• Experience developing and implementing organizational policies and defining custom organization policies and compliance controls.
