Controls Design Engineer Analyst

Responsibilities
- Hardware and Software Design of Material Handling Automation Systems working independently with minimal guidance
- Preparation of documents such as calculations, design specifications, description of operations, and test specifications
- Delegation, preparation, review and presentation of documents for internal and customer technical reviews
- Lead technical reviews
- Mentor and share knowledge with less experienced engineers
- Development and design of multiple projects or a single project with moderate to considerable complexity medium to large in size (typically not more than 3500 control engineering hours)
- High opportunities to travel across customer locations to fulfill work requirements
- Interpret design input information to produce control system designs
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of successful experience in a related field, including but not limited to: 2 years in the Automation Engineering work environment
- 2 years of experience selecting electrical automation components and developing electrical drawings
- 2 years of experience with PLC software development and/or code debugging (Siemens/ABB/Becoff)
- 1 year of experience on Material Handling Automation Projects or Environment
- Desirable: +1 year of experience leading team automation projects
- Basic knowledge of budget handling for projects
