Program Manager Engineer

Abbott, a general leading healthcare company, is investing in Mexico and building a manufacturing facility in Querétaro.

In Abbott's Electrophysiology (EP) business, we advance the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for subcomponent of a project and/or assists Project Manager.
• Confirm completion of activities with cross‑functional team, coordinate among team members.
• Follow quality and regulatory requirements.
• Track development and implementation process of site products and services involving site cross‑functional teams focused on the transfer and manufacturing of products.
• Exercise technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Use program management tools.
• Perform work in a quality system environment.
• Analyze problems of moderate scope with identifiable factors, record actions and track results systematically.
• Exercise judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
• Look for alternatives and understand their impact on the systems environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or technical areas.
• Advanced English proficiency (mandatory).
• +5 years experience, preferred in medical devices industry.
• +3 years experience in areas such as engineering and operations; 1 year in project management.
• Knowledge of operational excellence/lean concepts such as line balance, constraint theory, process flow map, continuous improvement tools (DMAIC, fishbone diagram, 5 Whys, etc.).
• Knowledge of standard regulations applicable to medical industry (ISO, FDA, GMPs).
• Very detail‑oriented with knowledge in validation and manufacturing lines.
• Strong communication skills to interact, negotiate and reconcile differences with a cross‑functional team.
• Works well with others in a collaborative, fast‑paced goal‑driven environment.
