Senior Transportation Analyst (Tijuana)

The Transportation Sr. Analyst coordinates and monitors all domestic and international shipments to ensure on‑time, compliant, and cost‑efficient delivery of goods. The role manages communication between carriers, warehouses, and internal teams, analyzes transportation data, and supports continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics network.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinating export, import, and local shipments, including carrier communication, pickups, and deliveries.
• Tracking international and domestic freight in collaboration with the U.S. logistics team.
• Monitoring GPS systems and delivery schedules to ensure on‑time performance.
• Managing and controlling return boxes due to customer complaints or damages.
• Overseeing container inventory within the plant and ensuring proper allocation.
• Requesting and reviewing transportation quotes for new routes and cost optimization.
• Preparing and maintaining freight and performance reports/metrics.
• Reviewing carrier invoices and resolving billing discrepancies.
• Coordinating internal material movements within the plant.
• Collecting and verifying Proofs of Delivery (PODs).
• Tracking and following up on claims with carriers.
• Maintaining and updating truck logs for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Keeping shipment lists current, monitoring crossing and delivery times.
• Requesting CTPAT inspections and ensuring compliance with security requirements.
• Managing and controlling seal purchases and inventory.
• Generating loading orders and preparing required shipping documentation.
• Delivering export documentation to relevant parties (e.g., Oakley, Gusa).
• Creating Bills of Lading (BOL) and Arrival Notices.
• Issuing shipment approval prior to unit departures.
• Confirming FDA releases for deliveries to carriers.
• Developing manual return guides for reverse logistics operations.
• Performing all other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of logistics documentation (BOL, POD, CTPAT, customs paperwork).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using SAP or other transportation management systems.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Access).
• Familiarity with import/export regulations, CTPAT requirements, and FDA clearance processes.
• Understanding of carrier performance management and cost control.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
