About the role

As an Accounting Manager , you will be responsible for leading critical accounting and financial reporting processes, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial information while maintaining compliance with IFRS and internal control standards.

This role will oversee accounting activities related to IFRS 16 leases, cash management, provisions, intercompany transactions, related parties, and aviation taxes , while driving process optimization, strengthening internal controls, and leading a high-performing accounting team. You will collaborate closely with Finance, Treasury, Tax, Internal Audit, Legal, and Operations, playing a key role in supporting strategic business decisions and ensuring financial excellence across the organization.

Your deliverables will include:

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.

• Oversee accounting activities related to IFRS 16 leases, cash management, provisions, related-party transactions, intercompany balances, and aviation taxes , ensuring proper application of IFRS.

• Review and approve account reconciliations, journal entries, financial analyses, estimates, and supporting documentation to maintain financial integrity.

• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements by strengthening internal controls, supporting audits, identifying risks, and implementing continuous improvements.

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals, establishing priorities and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth.

• Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Internal Audit, Legal, and Operations to provide financial guidance, improve processes, and support business initiatives.

• Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement projects that increase efficiency and strengthen accounting operations.

Our ideal candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting .

• Advanced English proficiency preferred.

• 6+ years of experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, Controllership, or similar leadership roles.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS , particularly IFRS 16 (Leases) .

• Experience managing financial close processes, intercompany transactions, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Solid experience working under SOX/internal control frameworks .

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA .

• Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience within the aviation industry, local taxes, or finance transformation initiatives is considered a plus.
