Finance Analyst - Emo (Guadalajara)

Overview

As a member of the EMO finance team, this role will be responsible for financial transactions, closing, reporting, and analysis for external manufacturing operations (EMO).

Responsibilities

• Performs monthly closing procedures, including journal entries, analysis, reports, and reconciliations.
• Validates and performs invoice processing to support EMO operations.
• Prepares account reconciliations and account clearings.
• Conducts reviews of financial activity to ensure accuracy and integrity of the accounting records in compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley, U.S. GAAP, company policies, and other applicable controls.
• Supports continuous improvement efforts and partners with EMO Assistant Controller, EMO Controller, and other functions to provide information and support to operational goals.
• Tracks and analyzes global bulk JD shipments related to the Jack & Coke relationship; supports the process to develop costing, accounting and reporting, including pricing analytics and transactional adjustments.
• Supports the creation, analysis and release of cost standards in SAP for designated plants, including new products and annual cost standards for all materials.
• Analyzes production variances and provides insights to managers on variance drivers and forecasts, covering both tax and U.S. GAAP variances.
• Supports managers and operational teams during budgeting and forecasting periods, promoting efficient allocation of resources during the planning processes.
• Supports further development and optimization of the SAP Material Ledger module for EMO plants.
• Provides ad hoc project analysis, supporting the Assistant Controller and Controller in developing meaningful financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in general business operations, accounting, or a combination of formal education and experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency and understanding of U.S. GAAP and the ability to prepare financial statements and analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications.
• Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and responsibilities while meeting established deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, focusing on clear, accurate, and timely quantitative and qualitative information.
• Ability to build productive relationships, partnerships, and influence others.
• Ability to work a versatile schedule to meet deadlines.
• Experience with SAP or comparable ERP software.
• Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree (M.A., MBA, or equivalent) in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
• CPA or CMA certification.
• Proficiency in product costing.
• Proficiency with SAP modules: product costing, material ledger, materials management, inventory management, production planning, integrated manufacturing, financial accounting, and controlling.
• Proficiency in Alteryx software.
• Experience in an alcohol beverage manufacturing environment.
