Treasurer

Confidential Company

We are a leading B2B electronic payments platform operating across Latin America and the United States. Originally founded in Monterrey, Mexico, the company has grown significantly and now has its corporate headquarters in Houston, Texas. The company connects banks, fintechs, and retailers through a financial infrastructure that supports cross-border remittances, payment processing, and embedded financial services.

The company operates with an entrepreneurial and execution-oriented culture, where leaders are expected to combine strategic thinking with hands-on problem solving.

ROLE PURPOSE

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Treasurer will be responsible for ensuring the company’s global liquidity, financial risk management, and optimal cash positioning across multiple jurisdictions.

The role oversees both day-to-day treasury operations and the long-term development of the company’s treasury architecture, ensuring that the organization has the financial infrastructure, systems, and governance required to support a rapidly growing fintech platform.

Operational responsibilities include oversight of treasury activities such as:

  • cash positioning and liquidity monitoring
  • payment flows and settlements
  • banking relationships and financial partner coordination
  • treasury controls, reporting, and regulatory compliance

Beyond these responsibilities, the Treasurer will also help lead the strategic evolution of the treasury function, strengthening financial controls, supporting technology improvements, and developing scalable processes capable of supporting significant transaction volumes

STRATEGIC RESPONSABILITIES

Treasury Operations & Liquidity Management

  • Monitor and manage liquidity across multiple bank accounts, currencies, and jurisdictions.
  • Ensure efficient cash positioning and funding across markets.
  • Oversee treasury operations including payment flows, reconciliations, and settlements.

Treasury Systems & Infrastructure

  • Support the evolution of treasury infrastructure capable of supporting large transaction volumes.
  • Evaluate and improve treasury systems, reporting capabilities, and automation processes.

Funding Strategy & Capital Structure

  • Partner with the CFO on funding strategies and capital structure optimization.
  • Support financing initiatives and relationships with lenders and financial partners.

Banking & Financial Partner Relationships

  • Manage relationships with banking partners and financial institutions across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ensure appropriate banking structures to support cross-border payments and settlements.

Risk Management & Governance

  • Manage financial risks including FX exposure, liquidity risk, and interest rate risk.
  • Support the development of treasury governance frameworks and internal controls.

Integration of Acquired Entities

  • Support the integration of treasury operations across acquired businesses.
  • Align processes, controls, and financial infrastructure across the organization.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of treasury leadership experience, financial markets knowledge, and the ability to operate in a complex and evolving financial services environment.

Typical backgrounds may include senior treasury roles within:

  • Financial institutions
  • International banks
  • Payments or fintech platforms
  • Large financial services organizations with complex treasury operations

Key capabilities include:

  • Extensive experience managing liquidity and treasury operations in complex financial environments.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, FX exposure, and cross-border payment flows
  • Experience operating in high transaction volume environments
  • Experience improving treasury processes and financial infrastructure
  • Strong relationships with banking partners and financial institutions
  • Ability to lead and develop treasury teams

This position requires relocation to the U.S.; we handle and sponsor the relocation/visa process
