Accounts Payable and Billing Specialist

• Hybrid schedule: 2 days in the office, 3 days remote (in-office days may increase to 3 later this year)
• Regular hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Temp-to-hire potential: the contract may be extended or converted

• Location: Álvaro Obregón (Los Alpes), Mexico City

What You'll Do

• Process and review vendor invoices accurately and on time
• Prepare itemized statements, bills, and invoices , and record amounts due for goods purchased or services rendered
• Balance and reconcile batch control totals against source documents or system listings, finding errors and preparing corrections
• Reconcile and post cash receipts from different departments
• Perform bookkeeping tasks : posting data and keeping accurate records of costs and shipments
• Take ownership of your tasks and follow them through to completion

What We're Looking For

Must have:

• ✔️ At least 1 year of experience in Accounts Payable / invoice processing
• ✔️ Excellent attention to detail
• ✔️ A strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently and manage your own time
• ✔️ Ability to apply basic accounting and math principles
• ✔️ Good verbal and written communication and critical thinking
• ✔️ Solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel , Word, and PowerPoint
• ✔️ High school diploma or equivalent
• ✔️  Intermediate/Advanced English

Nice to have:

• ⭐ Experience with Workday or other accounting/ERP software
• ⭐ Associate's degree or studies in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• ⭐ Knowledge of accounting policies and regulations
• ⭐ Experience with billing and cash application
