Supplier Quality Engineer

Supplier Quality Engineer | Automotive Industry (Metal Mechanical)

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring supplier quality performance, driving corrective actions, supporting new launches, and maintaining compliance with automotive quality standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage supplier quality performance and continuous improvement activities.
• Lead supplier audits, process evaluations, and corrective action implementation.
• Support APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and launch activities.
• Investigate supplier quality concerns using 8D, 5 Why, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customer Quality teams.
• Monitor supplier KPIs including PPM, delivery performance, and warranty issues.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
• Support containment activities and problem resolution for production and customer issues.
• Conduct on-site supplier visits and process validations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality within the automotive industry.

Strong knowledge of:

• Core Tools
• Experience with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers preferred.
• Advanced English communication skills preferred.
• Ability to travel as needed.
