Network Security Engineer (Network Support Senior Analyst)

Location: Guadalajara, México (MX-MEX)

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement networked systems, including configuration, troubleshooting network problems, and coordinating with vendors for installation of routers, switches, and related equipment.
• Perform technical analysis of software, hardware, and network systems, and integrate LAN/WAN communications, network nodes, switch configurations, and transmission systems.
• Conduct network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, and hot fixes.
• Create and update the technology components of standard operating procedures.
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
• Hands‑on experience with Aruba Wireless and routing/switching technologies.
• Experience with Nexus configuration and design (VDC, VPC, OTV, LISP, FabricPatch, DCNM).
• Experience with Aruba Switching and Wireless solutions.
• Experience with Cisco Enterprise Wireless design and configuration, including Lightweight and Autonomous APs, WLAN Controllers, PRIME, bridging, outdoor/mesh deployments.
• Knowledge of LDP, TDP, RSVP label distribution, MPBGP-VPNv4, Multi‑VRF, and VRF‑Lite protocols.
• Design and configure application and WAN optimization appliances such as Riverbed, WLC, SD‑WAN; hold a Cisco CCNA certificate or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Solid documentation experience with Microsoft Visio, Word, and Excel.
• Ambitious and goal‑oriented, able to work until job is complete.
• Prior experience working closely with customers and collaborating with IT staff.
• Strong technical account management and excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

• Experience managing projects under supervisor oversight.
• Proven track record in network design, implementation, and maintenance across diverse technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Visio, Word, and Excel.
• Demonstrated initiative and commitment to completing tasks efficiently.
• Customer‑focused approach with evidence of successful collaboration with IT teams.
• Commitment to maintaining up‑to‑date technical knowledge in network security and related domains.
