Role Summary

RMI Global Solutions is seeking a dedicated Medical Escort professional based in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, to support offshore medical evacuations while performing administrative activities in support of our client's Occupational Health Advisor.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

MEDEVAC Duties

  • Responsible for patient care and stabilization during all air medical transfers from offshore to designated onshore medical facilities.
  • Maintain 24/7 availability operating in a 21x21 rotational model, responding to medical emergencies, resuscitation, and stabilization.
  • Coordinate medical equipment setup in helicopters with staff and execute patient handover procedures onboard offshore units and upon hospital arrival.
  • Provide continuous in-flight care, condition monitoring, medication administration, and emotional/physical support during transit.
  • Apply knowledge of provider clinics and medical facilities nominated on the local Medical Response Plan.
  • Provide notifications and complete relevant documentation as outlined in the clients Injury/Illness Management Procedure during evacuation.
  • Ensure Sexual Assault Sexual Harassment cases are evaluated and treated in accordance with client's SASH Trauma Informed Clinical Guidelines, conducting case follow-up until hospital discharge.
  • Conduct MEDEVAC Readiness and Compliance Assurance Audits and reports.
  • Ensure availability, proper maintenance, and calibration records of all medical escort equipment, medications, and consumables.

Administrative Duties

  • Ensure crew members are fit for work by conducting pre-boarding medical evaluations and reviewing/validating medical records.
  • Maintain accurate medical, equipment check, and A&D test records in the Cority system.
  • Develop educational materials to support health campaigns.
  • Conduct pre-boarding drug and alcohol testing using approved chain of custody methods, validating results, and managing non-conformities or positive cases with the clent's Health team.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Education & Licensure: Degree or certification in medicine to practice in Mexico, along with a US Visa and Mexican Passport.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in trauma and emergency care, with background in occupational health or offshore oil and gas operations.
  • Certifications: Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, ATLS (or regional equivalent), OPITO TBOSIET including CA EBS and HUET, OEUK Fit to Work, and a current drug and alcohol testing training certificate.
  • Skills: Cority experience (Electronic Medical Data Management Software), working knowledge of OSHA, and familiarity with Mexican health regulations.
