Bartender Assistant (Monterrey)

An assistant bartender is responsible for assisting in the preparation of drinks and in serving drinks and/or food to guests in the hotel's ongoing effort to provide exceptional customer service and financial profitability.

What am I going to be doing?

As an assistant bartender, you will assist in preparing drinks and serving drinks and/or food to guests in the hotel's ongoing effort to provide exceptional customer service and financial profitability.

• Greet guests and respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
• Mix and garnish drinks according to the rules of recipes and portion control.
• Present and serve drinks to guests.
• Check guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with state, local, and corporate federal laws and regulations.
• Full accuracy, processing and collecting payments from customers to include, but not limited to, the use of the point-of-sale system, money handling, credit cards and debit processing, so certificates, cards and vouchers of exchange and gift processing.
• Stock up and maintain the bar to include, but not limited to, beer, wine, liquors, paper products, popotes and stirrers, condiments, glassware, and produce ice.
• Cut, store and ensure product quality of all perishable related beverage products.
• Respond professionally to drunken guests, as needed.

• Previous experience within a cocktail bar environment
• The ability to create classic cocktails
• Flexibility in hours as you will be working rostered shifts, especially on weekends
• Exceptional personal presentation and communication skills
• Flexibility to respond quickly and positively to a range of work situations
