Senior Accountant – VIPRE Security Group

Remote, Mexico

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our accounting team, working remotely at present. The role will focus on the preparation of the monthly accounts, including reconciliation of balance sheet and sub‑ledger accounts, AP, Fixed Assets and Cash Management, and supporting the year‑end audit to a very high standard. It also involves various process improvement and automation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure proper & timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger in accordance with US GAAP policies, procedures and internal control standards.
• Responsible for month end close of assigned subsidiaries of Ziff Davis to strict deadlines.
• Responsible for revenue recognition including deferred revenue.
• Prepare P&L variance analysis for assigned subsidiaries.
• Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts in a timely manner and follow up on any queries to ensure they are accounted for correctly.
• Support the project teams with various tasks as required for process improvement and change.
• Support audit requests as needed.
• Provide accounting support for management in financial analysis, budgeting and other reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA preferred.
• 3‑5 years experience in accounting, with extensive experience in month‑end close, journal entry preparation, and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Interested in developing technical proficiency in accounting matters.
• A team player with ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
• Good business acumen and ability to work across boundaries and cultures.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal are essential.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion or similar accounting system would be advantageous.
• Ability to multi‑task and meet strict deadlines, within a fast‑moving environment.
• Solid intermediate Excel skills, with strong working knowledge of basic formulas, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables.

Individual pay within the compensation range for this business unit specific role is determined based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, education and training, as well as business and company performance.
