Responsibilities

• Implement comprehensive EH&S programs and initiatives that comply with regulatory requirements and promote employee participation and accountability (e.g., contractor safety, isolation of hazardous energy, chemical management, and emergency procedures).
• Ensure continuity and sustainability of the Safety Management System that supports the identification, elimination and control of hazardous conditions to prevent injury and property damage using safety standards, best practices and analytical techniques.
• Lead a team of Safety and Contract Risk Management professionals and ensure site‑ and business‑specific programs are implemented, documented and standardised to meet CPI/KPI and legal requirements.
• Develop and conduct training in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, and ensure proper documentation of training.
• Assist sites in performing job safety analysis and developing safe work procedures.
• Conduct safety inspections, program audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Collect data, provide information and reports to support the client’s compliance programs.
• Participate in compliance audits across sites.
• Ensure incident investigation, root‑cause analysis, record‑keeping and follow‑ups are conducted; make recommendations for prevention based on investigation results.
• Monitor record‑keeping and reporting performance for risk‑related requirements and objectives.
• Develop and implement ISO management systems, such as ISO ****** and ******, across multiple sites or regions to ensure compliance and maintain certification.
• Provide guidance and support to site managers and EHS teams in establishing and maintaining ISO‑related documentation, policies, procedures and work instructions.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to verify ISO compliance and address non‑conformities.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate ISO certification and maintain ongoing compliance.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations across all sites.
• Monitor, assess and report on environmental performance indicators (air emissions, water usage, waste management, hazardous materials handling).
• Develop and implement strategies and programs to minimise environmental impacts and promote sustainable practices.
• Coordinate environmental monitoring activities, including air quality testing, water sampling and waste management.

Desired Experience and Technical Skills

• Minimum of 10 years EH&S management experience within operational management systems and working with corporate clients.
• Strong understanding of the EH&S regulatory environment for the assigned region.
