Process Engineer – Crucibles Manufacturing

Location: Monterrey Metropolitan Area, Mexico

About the Role

We are seeking a Process Engineer to support the manufacturing operation of Crucibles business unit. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, operational efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.

The position will play a key role in process standardization, problem solving, new product introduction, and continuous improvement initiatives while working closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives.
• Develop, validate, and optimize process parameters to ensure consistent product performance.
• Lead process improvement projects focused on waste reduction, yield improvement, cycle time reduction, and operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain process documentation, including process flows, standard work instructions, PFMEA, and related technical documentation.
• Investigate process deviations, customer complaints, and internal quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including process validation and manufacturing readiness.
• Define equipment, tooling, and process requirements for new or modified manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to drive sustainable improvements.
• Create and maintain manufacturing routings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) within ERP systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Process Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting process optimization, root cause analysis, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Experience developing manufacturing documentation and process controls.
• Experience participating in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
