Responsibilities

• Leads highly complex repairs, modifications and preventative maintenance on building and facilities, equipment, fixtures and systems.
• Performs maintenance service and repairs in the areas of carpentry, painting, plastering.
• Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassembles equipment.
• Diagnoses mechanical problems and determines how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
• Inspects, drives motors and belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, or performs other maintenance actions following checklists.
• Assembles, installs, or repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe, systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment; inspects, operates, and tests machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
• Coordinates work of outside contractors.
• Directs and leads the work of lower level employees through assignment of work, coordination of effort, providing technical guidance and review of assignment progress.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, electromechanical career or related.
• Requires at least 6 years related position.
• Knowledge of generators, HVAC, compressor and electrical substations.
• Knowledge in civil works.
• Interpretation of civil, electrical and mechanical plans.
• Expert knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
• Expert knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures.
• Expert knowledge of design techniques, tools, blueprints, drawings and models.
• Using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Knowledge of firefighting systems.
• Detail oriented and ability to problem solve effectively.
• Leadership skills required to coordinate and work with all company areas.
