About the Role & Team

IDC is looking for a data-savvy and analytical Market Research Analyst to join our team focused on the 2-tier IT distribution market . If you’re passionate about generating the data that powers today’s technology market insights and want to influence the go-to-market strategies of the world’s top tech vendors, this is your opportunity.

What You’ll Do

• Master IDC’s proprietary tools to ingest, classify and monitor large volumes of distributor sales data.
• Publish weekly and monthly reports on IT distribution sell-through trends.
• Analyze Enterprise and Data Center Infrastructure markets to refine IDC’s taxonomy and improve data quality.
• Collaborate with global analysts to connect distribution trends with broader IT market dynamics.
• Support client inquiries and incorporate feedback into ongoing research.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a STEM-related field).
• 3+ years of experience in the tech industry—ideally with a vendor, distributor (e.g., Ingram Micro, Tech Data), systems integrator, or consulting firm.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify patterns in large datasets.
• Advanced Excel skills; basic SQL and database knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Based in Mexico City with availability for hybrid work .
