Senior Specialist VAT/IEPS Certifications

Your Role

Execute the operational lifecycle of VAT/IEPS certification applications for maquiladoras: prepare VUCEM submissions, validate evidence, manage supplier checks, and support SAT audits and IMMEX reconciliations.

Our Team

You will join a collaborative regional tax team that works closely with customs, operations, finance, and external advisors to protect maquiladora benefits, strengthen compliance, and drive continuous improvement across certification processes.

What You Will Do

• Prepare/upload VUCEM applications and annexes; collect/validate IMSS, investment, contract and import/export evidence.
• Reconcile IMMEX returns (≥60% return of inputs), coordinate with customs brokers and operations, and perform supplier checks vs. CFF Art.69‑B.
• Maintain audit‑ready certification files, draft technical responses to SAT requests, and support Manager in processes and monthly reporting.
• Support in VAT advisory and indirect taxes.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Foreign Trade, Law or related; 3–5 years in indirect taxes/IMMEX or customs operations.
• Hands‑on VUCEM experience, strong Excel/document control, attention to detail, excellent written communication, ability to handle concurrent filings under deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and writing skills in both English and Spanish.

• Data and Systems experience with a comparative advantage for innovation and process improvement a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Highly motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
