Production Manager

Position Summary

The Production Leader is involved in and responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing process, including but not limited to: quality performance, process improvements, and all key performance indicators related to the production area. The Production Leaser uses their people skills to motivate and inspires all members of the Production team.

This position reports to the Plant Manager.

Responsabilities

• Determine staffing requirements
• Set employee goals and objectives. Develop employees to meet those objectives.
• Monitor and review performance daily to ensure productivity goals are met. Coach employees to improve productivity while maintaining a positive work environment and organize necessary corrective action for improvement as needed.
• Ensure employees are effectively trained.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to employees as needed.
• Work closely with employees and support staff to resolve customer problems
• Responsible for ensuring product meets company quality standards. Maintains and improves quality levels.
• Effectively communicates company and plant information with employees.
• Determine and implement improvements in the production process using Lean and 5 S practices.
• Develop and implement solutions to manage and reduce production costs.
• Plan, lead, and implement Kaizen activities throughout the plant.
• Problem solves employee and equipment related issues.
• Encourage and promote an atmosphere in which employees feel comfortable offering suggestions for improvement.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA and safety regulations.
• Ensure efficient and effective collaboration and communication with Production Analyst.
• Open and close the facility when necessary.
