Position Summary

Technical position part of Portfolio management, responsible for the development & implementation of profitability improvement projects for launches and post-SOP programs for multiple customers. Key focus areas are the generation, evaluation and implementation of cost reduction ideas impacting the total product cost on electromechanical products through design, process and resourcing changes. Highly visible role through interaction on all levels and with all functions.

Responsibilities

• Generation and development of cost savings ideas through various activities, e.g supplier/in-house workshops, benchmarking activities, etc
• Detailed assessment & coordination of idea development related to technical/commercial feasibility (business cases) with x-functional teams
• Preparation of calculations/presentations and further data to support business decisions and obtain Management approvals
• Track detailed status, monitor development & implementation progress for multiple projects, propose mitigation plans in case of deviations/roadblocks; elevate as required to Top Management
• Generate reports to Management varying from direct manager to Senior VP

Qualifications

• Min 4-5 years experience, preferably in Automotive industry
• Technical background, Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable
• Strong moderation, communication skills with ability to deal with various stakeholders (Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, Quality, suppliers)
• Global thinking, results oriented, advanced organizational skills including attention to details
• Ability and willingness to work under pressure (deadlines, balancing)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
• Good English skills for an international environment (EU, NA, AP)
• Experience with suppliers and/or customers is appreciated
• Project Management skills are appreciated
• Driving license, ability and willingness to travel (5%)
