Cost & Inventory Accountant

YOUR ROLE: Ensuring the financial accuracy and profitability of our projects
As a Cost Estimator , you play a key role in ensuring the financial accuracy and profitability of our projects. You will be responsible for analyzing costs, preparing budgets, and supporting strategic decision-making across the supply chain and manufacturing operations.
Cost Analysis & Budgeting
Evaluate project plans, specifications, and technical documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Develop detailed project budgets aligned with financial and operational goals.
Analyze historical data, labor rates, material costs, and supplier quotations.
Compare estimated costs vs actual results to improve forecasting models.
Conduct market research to benchmark costs against industry standards.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
Analyze supplier pricing and material trends.
Risk & Financial Control
Identify potential cost risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Support management with financial justifications and scenario analysis.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, logistics, and project management teams.
Support production and supply chain with cost validation for materials and processes.
Inspect incoming and outgoing materials against purchase orders when required.
Systems & Reporting
Enter and maintain cost data in SAP and other financial systems.
Prepare and present cost reports, breakdowns, and financial summaries to stakeholders.
Ensure data accuracy and traceability.
This position is based in our office in Zapopan, Mexico
Education
~ You have studies in Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Administration, Inventory Management or a related field.

Experience
Experience working with manufacturing or supply chain cost structures is preferred.
Mechanical or process knowledge to understand manufacturing operations is an advantage.
Experience working with budgets, costing, and financial data analysis.
Skills
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Able to collaborate with multiple departments in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills
Advanced Excel user.
Experience with SAP or ERP systems is highly desirable.
Understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers.
Languages
~ Excellent command of English and Spanish , both written and spoken.
