Senior Mechanical Automation Design Engineer

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we're calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Automation Engineer located in Guadalajara, North. Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, the Automation role will be responsible for designing, testing, and optimizing automated systems in various mechanical and digital environments to help and improve processes, save costs, and achieve better outcome of design, product, and processes, eliminating defects, errors, and problems with product, process, or software development.
Engaging with customers and addressing internal project requirements.
Identifying opportunities to increase efficiency with automation.
Researching and designing automation technology.
Developing tests and simulations to ensure the systems work as intended.
Establishing monitoring and QA processes.
Investigating defects or errors in the technology.
Managing safety systems, motor controls, drives, communication systems, and human-machine interface (HMI).
BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience.
Senior background experience in automation engineering.
Experience in project management.
Strong Experience in automotive industry.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
Proficient skills in robotic automation.
Strong background in mechanical engineering.
