We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with 6+ years of professional experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in banking or financial services environments, along with strong experience supporting critical production systems and enterprise applications.
This role requires hands-on Java development expertise, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure production environments. The candidate will collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, operations, and business teams to maintain and enhance mission-critical financial applications.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and support enterprise Java applications and services.
Provide production support for critical business applications in financial environments.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes for recurring incidents.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Business teams.
Develop scalable and maintainable backend solutions using Java and related frameworks.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
Monitor application performance, system stability, and operational health.
Support deployment activities and participate in release processes.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to reliability, monitoring, and operational support.
Participate in on-call rotations when required.
Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in Java software development.
• Experience working in banking, financial services, or highly regulated environments.
• Strong experience providing production support for enterprise applications.
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot development.
• Experience building and supporting RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues related to performance, scalability, and system stability.
• Understanding of incident management and root cause analysis processes.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration abilities.
• Proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of ITIL processes or operational support frameworks.
