Financial Planning and Analysis - Associate

At Sony, we are seeking a highly analytical professional with strong experience in management accounting and cost control, specifically within U.S.–based corporate environments.

Position Objective:

Ensure efficient budget management and cost control by implementing management accounting practices aligned with U.S. financial guidelines and corporate standards, contributing to organizational performance through accurate financial planning and analysis.

Responsibilities:

Implement management accounting and cost control practices in compliance with U.S. financial guidelines and corporate standards.

Lead the development of the annual budget and forecasting processes.

Monitor, analyze, and report departmental expenses, ensuring alignment with the approved budget.

Identify opportunities to improve financial performance and effectively communicate insights to managers and budget owners.

Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, and Tax teams to ensure accurate cost recording and compliance with internal policies.

Prepare and present monthly financial reports for management review.

Support project planning through financial estimations, cost modeling, and resource allocation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 6 to 8 years of experience in financial roles, ideally with exposure to U.S. GAAP cost control and budgeting processes, and strong knowledge of accounting principles and business performance drivers.
• Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and SAP.
• Experience in Information Systems / IT (preferred)Top of Form
