Project Manager - Project Management

SAF-HOLLAND is a leading manufacturer of chassis-related systems and components primarily for trailers and semi-trailers, but also for trucks and buses. About position

This position is responsible for driving material cost performance across the Americas region through VAVE initiatives, resourcing strategies, and supplier negotiations.
The role manages cost reduction projects from idea generation through full implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives, quality standards, and budget targets.

Specific duties:
Lead VAVE idea generation sessions to identify cost reduction opportunities.
Manage a portfolio of sourcing and cost-saving initiatives from IL0 through IL5 implementation.
Collaborate with Commodity Managers to analyze spending and identify commercial and technical opportunities.
Lead cross-functional project teams (Engineering, Operations, Finance, Sales, Manufacturing).
Execute supplier launch activities including technical reviews, APQP, PPAP, and safe launch planning.
Conduct Linear Price Performance analysis for key components and commodities.
Track, validate, and report cost savings pipeline to leadership.
Ensure compliance with internal processes (GSP, SLP, Windchill CR, PPV tracking).
Support continuous improvement and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Travel domestically as required (15–30%).

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of similar work experience is required, preferably process experience related to Foundry, Forging, Heat Treat, Heavy Stampings, Fabrication, Assembly and Machining processes
Experience in project management within manufacturing and supply chain environments.
Experience leading cost reduction, sourcing, or supplier development projects.
Knowledge of APQP documentation (PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA, Control Plan).
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
Advanced Excel proficiency: Microsoft Project preferred.
Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).
Advanced English (written and verbal).
Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
PMP certification preferred.
