Manufacturing Engineering (Project Engineer)

Project Engineer directs the activities of a technical team to meet site goals and objectives. Provides technical guidance and leadership for assigned projects within the engineering organization. Manages and provides status of engineering projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses engineering project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives. Provides technical oversight and assistance to other departments as required.

Responsibilities

Responsible for engineering project and people management including the technical assessment of all assigned projects. Will successfully lead the program technical team to deliver key programs or projects per associated quality, time and cost constraints
Responsible for leading technical team with regard to program related Root Cause and Corrective Action / Non-conformance Disposition (MRB)
Drives functional excellence initiatives, high quality functional deliverables, and ensures technical excellence for product or technical development
Assist in managing resources to support program schedules, balancing needs, priorities and cost
Establish priorities imparting a sense of urgency and importance to effectively deliver products per quality, cost and time constraints
Ensures that projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Drive accountability to timelines and metrics throughout the organization
Frequent coordination with internal personnel at various management levels concerning operations, scheduling or specific phases of projects or programs
Conducts briefings and leads technical meetings for internal and external representatives concerning specific operations or projects
Frequently is involved simultaneously in several projects. Ensures product and customer service quality. Resolves issues and/or team conflicts
Meets with program managers, support staff, vendors, and customers to solicit cooperation and resolve problems
Conducts briefings to engineering leadership and program management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• +5 years' of experience as a project engineer
• 5-8 years experience as a Manufacturing Engineer
• Advance English
• Strong experience in AutoCad and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience in CATIA V5, GD&T, Windchill PDM, and SAP a plus
