Testing Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

Performing inspections of welded joints and materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Overseeing destructive and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods to evaluate weld quality.

Identifying and resolving welding-related issues, such as defects or non-conformance in welded products.

Implementing quality assurance programs and conducting audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Providing training for welders and other personnel on quality standards, welding techniques, and safety practices.

Maintaining records of welding processes, inspections, and test results to ensure traceability and compliance.

Working closely with design engineers, production teams, and suppliers to address welding-related concerns and improve processes.

Participating in initiatives to enhance welding processes and reduce defects, often using methodologies like Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing.

Ensuring that all welding activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Approve internal PPAP process for welded parts in house.
