Import / Export Logistics Coordinator

Import & Export Coordinator Job Summary:

The Import & Export Coordinator is responsible for managing and executing all international logistics operations, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and supporting the continuous flow of materials and finished goods in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate daily import and export operations (raw materials, components, and finished goods).

Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including customs laws, tariffs, and trade agreements (e.g., USMCA).

Prepare and review shipping documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.).

Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and transportation providers.

Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve delays or discrepancies.

Maintain accurate records in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).

Support inventory control and production planning by ensuring timely material flow.

Analyze logistics costs and propose cost-saving initiatives.

Ensure compliance with IMMEX, Annex 24 & 31 (for Mexico operations).

Coordinate audits and maintain documentation for regulatory compliance.

Collaborate with internal departments (purchasing, production, warehouse, and finance).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5-6 years of experience in import/export operations within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations and international logistics.
• Experience with IMMEX program and Mexican customs compliance.
• Advanced English (written and spoken).
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
