Senior Software Engineer, Back-end (Java)

Who We Are The Advertising team works with our supplier community creating end to end solutions that help increase their sales and exposure on sites and apps through targeted ads and sponsorships. Not only are we generating millions in extra revenue for suppliers and solidifying as a preferred partner, but we’ve built a significant business that’s one of the highest growth areas in the company.
Advocate for system reliability, performance, and observability across multiple integrations.
Strong software engineering skills (Java, REST/GraphQL APIs, Docker, Kubernetes to design API to consume/produce data and build backend applications to power wayfair advertising platforms.
Use kafka/aerospike/Elasticsearch for building a realtime data pipeline as a backbone for the entire Advertising team.
9–12 years of software engineering experience with a track record of delivering
production-grade systems.
- Deep expertise in software architecture, distributed systems, and API design.
- Proficiency in, Java, with strong debugging and optimization skills.
- Experience operating in cloud-native environments (preferably GCP).
