This job description outlines the responsibilities and requirements for the Purchasing Representative located within the Electronics Portfolio (ECU/EPP business) in the newly established Chassis Electronics Division.

Position summary

As the Purchasing Representative, you will support the project team responsible for program launches within the Electronics Portfolio. The role is embedded in a general team and provides a dynamic environment with ample opportunities for professional growth in a rapidly expanding organization.

What can you look forward as a Program Buyer

Supplier/Program Management: largely independent management of suppliers/programs with limited scope.

Operational Planning: execution and coordination of operational planning according to instructions.

Cost and Efficiency Targets: identify, propose, coordinate, derive, and ensure the implementation of cost reduction measures at product level.

Part Family Strategy: support the development, coordination, and implementation of the part family strategy as instructed.

Supplier and Risk Management: analyze and evaluate the supplier portfolio and support its optimization; assist in considering risk management and sustainability requirements within the supply chain.

Contract Negotiations: conduct and finalize contract negotiations and agreements on terms and conditions under guidance and after alignment.

Supply Chain Assurance: ensure supplier capacity for serial production; initiate orders for tools and equipment.

Profile description

Education & Experience: Bachelor of Engineering or Business Administration or equivalent qualification; more than one year of purchasing experience.

IT Skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and knowledge of SAP MM module.
