Analyst BI Data Analysis

Own the end‑to‑end delivery of complex analytical initiatives – framing the business question, scoping the analysis, execution, presentation, and follow‑through on stakeholder action. Support ad‑hoc analysis for Tillster customers, executives, and internal stakeholders, providing interpretive framing and actionable recommendations.
Challenge assumptions based on data and translate complex findings into decision‑relevant narratives.
Design and support A/B test experiments with statistically valid methodology – hypothesis definition, sample sizing, guardrail metrics, and results analysis.
Google Analytics & Data Collection
Act as the team’s primary Google Analytics subject matter expert: own GA4 reporting, custom dimensions/metrics design, tracking plan validation, and GA‑to‑warehouse integration.
BI Development & Semantic Layer
Develop LookML for owned domains, ensuring documented, tested, and consistent standards.
Proactively maintain accuracy and consistency of production explores and dashboards as underlying data warehouse structures change.
Data Quality & Platform Collaboration
Own the accuracy and freshness of all data products in scope; identify and investigate quality issues and partner with engineers to resolve upstream problems.
Write high‑quality, performant SQL, including complex window functions and CTEs; Collaborate on LookML architecture and semantic layer design for owned domains, providing analytical requirements and validating data models.
Partner with the Senior BI & AI Analyst on customer analytics definitions for segmentation, LTV, and churn use cases.
Understand data pipelines feeding dashboards to diagnose freshness and quality issues and communicate resolution timelines.
Own coding standards and analytical best practices for the team – SQL style guides, LookML conventions, documentation requirements, and PR review processes.
Mentor Junior Data Analysts through paired analysis, direct feedback, and structured reviews; Build and contribute reusable assets to shared team libraries (SQL query patterns, LookML components, analysis frameworks, documentation templates).
Design and build self‑serve analytics agents that enable non‑technical stakeholders to query data and surface insights in natural language.
Configure Cortex Analyst or equivalent AI‑assisted BI platforms to extend self‑service beyond traditional dashboard interaction.
Define quality standards for AI‑generated outputs – accuracy validation, hallucination detection, and review process before sharing externally.
