Finance Officer (Treasury Support)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer – Treasury & Reconciliations to join our Finance team in Guadalajara, Mexico. In this critical role, you will support daily treasury operations, manage payment processing activities, perform bank and credit card reconciliations, and maintain vendor master data within NetSuite.

As a key member of the Finance team, you will play an important role in safeguarding cash controls, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and supporting timely, compliant disbursements. Working closely with finance and operational teams across multiple regions and time zones, you will contribute to efficient financial operations while driving continuous process improvement.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in treasury, accounting, or accounts payable functions, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a passion for accuracy and control. Experience within the agribusiness, fresh produce, or grower accounting environment will be highly advantageous, as a strong understanding of grower accounting practices and agricultural cost structures is preferred. Key Performance Outputs

Treasury & Cash Management

• Support daily treasury activities, including monitoring bank balances and cash positions.
  
• Prepare and manage weekly cash flow forecasts to support operational and payment requirements.
  
• Analyse cash inflows and outflows to support short-term liquidity planning.
  
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to anticipate funding requirements and optimise cash utilisation.
  
• Maintain accurate documentation and controls over treasury-related transactions.
  

Payments Processing

• Prepare and upload payment files (ACH, wire transfers, and cheque payments) through banking platforms and NetSuite.
  
• Validate payment batches for accuracy, completeness, and proper approval.
  
• Ensure payments are processed in accordance with company policies and deadlines.
  
• Investigate and resolve payment rejections, exceptions, and discrepancies.
  

Bank Reconciliations

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.
  
• Investigate and resolve differences between bank statements and the general ledger.
  
• Ensure reconciling items are appropriately documented, tracked, and cleared within agreed timelines.
  

Credit Card Reconciliations

• Reconcile corporate credit card statements against expense reports and accounting records.
  
• Review transactions for accurate coding, supporting documentation, and policy compliance.
  
• Follow up on missing receipts, unauthorised charges, and discrepancies.
  
• Ensure timely posting and clearing of credit card transactions in NetSuite.
  

Vendor Master Data Management (NetSuite)

• Create and maintain vendor records in NetSuite.
  
• Validate all supporting documentation, including tax forms, banking information, and vendor records.
  
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, approval workflows, and segregation of duties.
  
• Maintain organised vendor documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
  

Internal Controls & Compliance

• Adhere to internal control frameworks relating to treasury, payments, and vendor management.
  
• Support internal and external audit requests by providing documentation and reconciliations.
  
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce financial risk
  

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  
• 3–5+ years of experience in treasury operations, accounts payable, finance, or accounting.
  
• Experience using banking platforms and electronic payment systems.
  
• Demonstrated experience working with accounting systems and process automation.
  
• Advanced English proficiency is essential.
  
• Ability to work effectively in a remote/home-office environment.
  
• Availability to provide occasional weekend support when required.
  

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
  
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
  
• Strong knowledge of bank and credit card reconciliation processes.
  
• Familiarity with ACH, wire transfers, cheque payments, and treasury controls.
  
• Understanding of grower accounting, agricultural operations, or agribusiness cost structures is highly desirable.
