Responsibilities

• Manages the manufacturing engineering scope in a project and provides smart, simple, creative and robust solutions to keep the project profitable.
• Ensures cross-functional management of the extended team and maintains lessons learned.
• Manages OPTIMAP manufacturing work packages (EPROJ in lighting) and manufacturing metrics (labor, cycle time, industrial performances).
• Uses manufacturing convergence tools/indicators (MCI) to monitor progress.
• Defines initial Statement of Work (SOW) for the manufacturing perimeter, including extended team, development budget, and Optimap EPROJ Work Packages.
• Defines and sets up project planning and conducts manufacturing project reviews, consolidating actions and providing reporting and action plans.
• Participates in design reviews (TDR) and leads the Industrial Concept Sheet (ICS). Ensures Launch Readiness is organized (in collaboration with the Launch Manager).
• Works with the plant to ensure capacity aligns with project volumes and supports the industrialization phase in production and SILs; leads manufacturing means after transfer by metier technicians.
• Manages project manufacturing economical perimeter (cycle time, operators, investments, supply chain costs) and tracks perimeter changes due to customer requests with the PM.
• Ensures industrial performance is best-in-class by eliminating non-value-added activities and complies with HSE requirements.
• Determines the project provisional budget (hours and cost) and allocates resources with the manager; tracks perimeter changes and reports to the PM. Proposes adjustments as needed and warns of budget gaps.
• Contributes to continuous improvements, capitalization and productivity actions; participates in the closure of the project and sharing best practices and difficulties.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with experience in manufacturing development and/or activities for the automotive industry.
• Experience: Senior assembly engineer or plant engineer with leadership capabilities (synthesis, organization, rigor, communication).
• Technical competencies: manufacturing processes related to paint, assembly, packaging, and experience with Lean manufacturing practices.
• Behavioral competencies: project management skills, ability to lead cross-functional teams, English proficiency.
• Other requirements: alignment with group competencies and willingness to work in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment.
