Bolton Motors is a motorcycle trading company focused on the importation, distribution, and commercialization of motorcycles in Mexico. The company operates through a hybrid model, combining B2B distribution with dealers and retailers, alongside direct-to-consumer (B2C) sales. Bolton Motors is in a high-growth phase, building scalable operations and strong financial foundations.

Role Overview

The Senior Accountant will support the Accounting & Tax Manager in establishing and scaling the company’s accounting, tax, and financial operations. This role is execution-focused and critical for ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Role Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Close

• Monitor and supervise accounting records ensuring accuracy and completeness

• Perform and review account reconciliations

• Execute month-end and year-end closing activities

• Maintain audit-ready documentation

• Monitor monthly and annual Financial Statements (FFSS)

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare financial statements under Mexican GAAP

• Analyze financial variances and provide insights

• Support reporting for leadership decision-making

Compliance, Tax & Statutory Reporting

• Ensure compliance with local regulations and accounting policies

• Deliver statutory reports on time

• File monthly and annual tax returns

• Complete Transfer Pricing study before deadlines

• Prepare UTP memos for tax exposures

Treasury & Operations

• Perform bank reconciliations

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Manage prepaid expenses

• Support treasury process improvements and controls

Systems & Process Improvement

• Identify process improvements

• Support ERP enhancements

• Maintain Odoo ERP as reliable system of record

Role Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting or Finance

• 5+ years of experience with international tax for multinational companies, background in the trading industry strongly preferred

• Knowledge of Mexican GAAP; IFRS is a plus

• Experience with financial reporting and tax compliance

• Advanced Excel and ERP knowledge (Odoo preferred)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
